Description
STEWART BROTHERS “The Rat” rare soul r&b 45 on ENSIGN (Sly Stone?) ~HEAR
Artist: STEWART BROTHERS
Titles: “The Rat” / “Ra Ra Roo”
Label: ENSIGN (Los Angeles, Calif.). White label promo copy with black text. Catalog number is 1-4032.
“The Rat” includes spoken introduction by Sylvester Stewart. There is some dispute whether this Sylvester Stewart has any connection or is actually Sly Stone, or is a different Sylvester Stewart. Regardless, these are two great and rare sides out of L.A. in the late 50s that deserve to be heard.
Year: 1959
Condition: NM- with 100% of original gloss. Has been played a very small number of times, perhaps once or twice, and handled with care. Fidelity is excellent. Labels are clean and pristine. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer copy anywhere.
Guaranteed to be original and authentic. I do not sell bootlegs or modern reissues.
