Description

Steve & Stevie
LP

Selling my prog/psych/rock collection! Here’s a rarity by STEVE and STEVIE and it’s an original UK issue on the TOAST label. This is NOT a foreign issue or a reissue …...it’s the ORIGINAL real deal and one that rarely turns up for auction!

If you’re reading this, you know how very rare this LP is! A lost gem on the obscure TOAST label from 1968.

The music on this album is beautiful and in a Sgt.Pepper / Bee Gees vein, but highly original. (“Sunshine On Snow” should be heard every Christmas…absolutely superb.)………I can’t tell you how good this album is. Every track is a pop/psych/folk gem.

Steve Groves & Steve Kipner, two Australians recorded this in 1968 with arrangements by Jerry Shuri and arrangements by Nat Kipner.

Then they renamed themselves Tin Tin, signed to the Robert Stigwood Organization, and scored an international hit -including an American Top 20 placing- with their 1971 single, "Toast and Marmalade for Tea," which was produced by Maurice Gibb.

The record is excellent – no bad marks. The sleeve has a bit of tape on lower edge and two old price labels. One reads “Reduced to Clear 50p” which shows this album sold in such small quantities.

This is a Vinyl record. I listen to all records before sale. Note that most vinyl will have a little faint 'crackle'. I describe them as best I can but be aware all records may have a very occasional background.
