(Custom Fidelity 1967)

Excellent accoustic blues album. Steve Mann had played
with an early incarnation of the Mothers of Invention.
He was the guitarist who played with Frank Zappa prior
to the Mothers. Acoustic finger-picker who was on the
L.A. club scene in the mid-60's playing old blues and ballads...
I also saw him mentioned on the backcover of the debut LP
from Dr. John the Nighttripper. He made his sole debut LP
with the help of Taj Mahal and Dick Rosmini. Ry Cooder
appears uncredited as well...
After that album, Steve went through several mental
institutes in the 70's/80's. Although he did appear on a
compilation LP, with Jo-Ann Kelly and John Fahey on the
"Blue Goose" label.

For me Steve Mann is one of the best and most neglected
accoustic guitar-players from the sixties.

Shame so few people do know his records !!!

(DJ wrote in small in faded pen at top: "Hippie anti-social
songs without basis !! This guy does not know the blues."
Lucky for us. He also wrote "Demo" on back cover and
twice on label...

        significantly from the sound…sleeve also has only slight wear, and is still in nice
        collectible.
VG++ = played often with moderate surface wear and some moderate noise, still plays well…
        sleeve may have medium overall wear or some ring wear.
VG+ = overall wear, but no skips of serious defects, more noisy sound during quiet passages…
        sleeve is well worn, usually with considerable ring wear.
VG = plays a lot, heavy wear on record and cover…guarantee does not apply to vg- or worse
        condition records.
