Up for auction is this LP by STEPPENWOLF titled "STEPPENWOLF". THEIR FIRST ALBUM. EXTREMELY RARE!!!!!!!!!
Steppenwolf--Steppenwolf (The Self-Titled First Album). This LP is the Original 1968 Dunhill Stereo LP DS_50029
This album was so successful for the band, featuring the songs "Born to be Wild" & "The Pusher", that both songs were used in the 1969 film "Easy Rider".
Early editions of the silver foil background version credit "Mars Bondfire" (Mars Bonfire correct name) with writing "Born to be Wild" on both the LP label and the back of the LP cover, in which this LP does. See pics of label and back song listings.

Original Black Dunhill Label with Multi-Colored Logo on top (Yellow Square top labels also exist and are believed to be a pressing plant variation.
Original Mirror Like Aluminium Foil Front Cover hyping the Hit Single "Born To Be Wild".
Partial shrink attached. Back is more attached than front. Front has a tear in the middle of the LP on the shrink. Has kept spine of LP intact and looking great.
Thick Cardboard American Style Cover.
Thick Heavy Vinyl Pressing.
The Record has a "Bell Sound" stamp in the trail off vinyl dead wax area, which is generally considered a proof of authenticity of the first pressing.

Album is in VG+/EX Condition. Nice and glossy. There are slight scuffs from taking the LP in and out of the jacket. Was played, and sounds great. No skips, Cover is in VG+ to Excellent Condition. Slight corner nicks. Clean--protected by partial shrink.
I did the best with pictures, the foil front cover was harder to capture than I thought. If you would like more pictures, I can send them to you. I have used the 12 allotted.
