Details: - This is the Rare first UK pressing from 1969 on Stateside SSL 5021 in laminated gatefold sleeve on thick vinyl and all in top condition. The label has a black background rather than the orange background used on later pressings. Run out/Matrix side 1 SSL 5021 A - 1G /side 2 SSL 5021 B - 1G stampers 1O/1GD

Vinyl: (/NM) Thick vinyl, Looks as new in normal light, under Halogen Spotlights can see just some light wispy sleeve removal marks - nothing feelable! Plays Superb!!Sleeve: (NM) Lovely condition `E.J.Day, UK` glossy gatefold sleeve, Nice clear spine, no edgewear, some laminate creasing - so hard to find in this condition (see photos)

Musically the band develops longer songs than usual on this their 4th album with the epic title track being broken into segments, with that still unmistakable Steppenwolf sound this still ranks up there to me as a must have, the cover art exudes the 60`s as do the lyrics. Truly a band not ashamed to push the barriers, some great guitar work, classic rock at it`s best!!

Gradings: I use the standard UK gradings as set out in Record Collector Magazine below:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Near Mint, EX+, VG+ etc are acceptable additions to help `fine tune` descriptions for the buyer
