STEELY DAN "Aja" Original PROMO LP from 1977 (ABC AB-1006). Promo edition as indicated by the Gold DEMOSTRATION NOT FOR SALE stamp on sleeve. With gatefold sleeve and original innersleeve with lyrics. There has been many Audiophile issues of this album, but to my ears the best sounding version is still the original ABC pressing (Yes, definitely better than the MFSL edition!). It sounds warmer and more natural the way Fagen and Becker intended. The main reason: The Master Tapes of AJA went missing soon after the album was issued in 1977, so everything that was pressed after the ABC version were from inferior sources. Their classic masterpiece. Includes: Aja, Deacon Blue, Josie, Peg, etc. Sleeve is EX. Record is EX (I would have graded it Near Mint if not for a light visual spindle scuff mark on side 1 which has no affect on the play).
