Description
STEELEYE SPAN ON VINYL. I'm posting all my Span vinyl - their first five and their seventh albums.
Here's their second, TEN MAN MOP OR MR RESERVOIR BUTLER RIDES AGAIN, from 1971 on PEGASUS RECORDS PEG9. I have listened to the record. Of all my Span records, this is the one played the most (I remember reviewing it for the college magazine!) but I have no hesitation in posting it as in EXCELLENT CONDITION (Record Collector grades).
THE DISC. SIDE ONE - visually fine with a couple of surface scuffs across Tracks 1,2 and 3. However, aside from a little crackle at the start of Track 1 (Gower Wassail) there is no sound from any of them and the Side plays excellently. SIDE TWO - there is a surface scuff on Tracks 2/3 but again no sound from it. It all plays excellently with slight crackle on the opening run-in and between Tracks 2 and 3 (Captain Coulston/Reels).
THE COVER. The gate-fold cover is in EXCELLENT condition. It has held its shape extremely well and all I have to report is some wear along the top and bottom edges.
THE SLEEVE. Is the original sleeve (see pix) but at some stage the edges have been reinforced with selotape.
THE INSERT. The original 8-page insert is here (see pix for a sample).
