STATUS QUO. Piledriver LP. Original 1972 Vertigo Swirl label. Cat. No. 6360 082.
Fully signed by all original band members Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt, John Coghlan and Alan Lancaster.
Also, Francis Rossi signed "Happy Christmas Status Quo" across the centre of the gatefold sleeve.
I bought this LP on 22nd December 1972 (I have written my name and date of purchase neatly on the back of the sleeve). The next evening I went to see the band at the Malvern Winter Gardens. This gig was prior to the band taking off in a huge way and prior to the single "Paper Plane" entering the charts as far as I can remember, so getting access to the band was quite easy as the size of the audiences were not huge at this time. My brother and me spent a good half hour chatting to the band, especially to Francis and Rick, and this is when we had the album signed. This is one of my most treasured albums for obvious reasons and I am only putting it up for auction for financial reasons. The sleeve is still in great condition for its age as is the vinyl.
A real gem for a Status Quo collector, rare to find in this condition with all 4 members signatures.
