STATUS QUO, ‘PICTURESQUE MATCHSTICKABLE MESSAGES FROM STATUS QUO’ THEIR DEBUT 1968 UK PYE RECORDS LP, CATALOGUE No NPL 18220.
THIS IS THEIR FIRST UK ALBUM RELEASE ON THE PYE RECORD LABELS, WITH A VERY HEAVY QUALITY VINYL LP, IN ORIGINAL FRONT LAMINATED THREE FLIPBACK PICTURE SLEEVE.
Released in the UK in 1968 this original album is the rarer *mono* issue, and was Status Quo’s first UK album release.
Both record labels are in Excellent condition, clean and unfaded record labels, with signs of several play’s to the centre of each record label.
Side1 matrix NPL 18220 A-2 * T & side 2 NPL 18220 B-2 * T.
Both sides of the Heavy Quality Vinyl Disc are in Excellent Minus to Excellent condition, clean vinyl surfaces, showing only a few light surface hairlines to side 1, and a few more on side 2, there are no deep scratches on either side.
The album plays without major faults through all the tracks with a great sound quality, with just mild background static noise, this is mostly heard at the intro of the tracks.
And is protected in it’s original laminated Sleeve and is in Very Good Plus to Excellent condition. No seam splits or tears, just a few small laminate pinches, all edges and spine edge are undamaged, there is an indentation of a name just below the word Messages on the front.
The reverse panel of the sleeve shows age toning, a small stain and some hand writing.
This is a nice example of this rare first issue 1969 debut mono UK LP from Status Quo.
