Description
This is a mega rare copy of a Quo bootleg double LP from the 1978 Australia tour. This was recorded on July 18, 1978 in Newcastle, Australia.
It comes in a plain white (single) card sleeve with the title and artist seemingly added manually by black marker. It also has a paper insert listing the tracks and carrying a 'live' photo of Francis Rossi - the insert measures approx 8.5 inches by 11 inches.
The condition of the sleeve is excellent with only a minor hint of ringwear - while the condition of the LPs are I would say excellent minus. They do carry some superficial surface markings but none of these are deep nor do they affect the playback. There is no evidence of spindle marks.
This the Belgian pressing on Raven Records (see description below).
I bought this copy in Amoeba Records in Hollywood, Los Angeles - which was to be honest the last place I though I would find any Quo !!
This is a golden chance to grab a Quo rarity that does not appear on E-bay too often !!

Recorded 'live' at the Civic Theatre, Newcastle, Australia on the 18th. July 1978. A very good quality American bootleg. It was recorded on the first night of Quo's 1978 Australian tour, hence the album's title. The highlights were "You Don't Own Me", an extended version of "Rockers Rollin'" and "Rockin' All Over The World". The album first appeared in the U.K. in 1979 and came with a sleeve listing the Australian tour dates, together with an off stage photograph. "First Night Stand" was later re-pressed by the Belgian bootleg company Raven (SQ 6891 ). The re-pressing had a 'live' black & white photograph of Francis Rossi on the plain white sleeve.
