Tremendously rare 80s Funk album from Richmond, Virginia Good copies go for nearly $800.00. This copy is still in the original shrink wrap. It was produced by their guitarist/singer Hugo Thompson & recorded in 1982 at Richmond's Alpha Audio Studios (Broad & Allison St.), which also was the recording home of two other of Richmond's soul luminaries: Starfire & the Waller family. Ernest Waller & Nadino Sayles help out on drums here. Costumes by Mrs. Barbara Slater; the Wildfire Dancers are also thanked. Album is dedicated to Bernard Smith.

CONDITION: Cover's a beauty. Still in shrink wrap, which is intact except for a small 2-in. tear at the front open edge, and on the bottom left corner where 3/4 inch of an inch has pulled away a bit. Very very slight cover banging. Inch-long faint half-crease at left edge is hard to spot. NO RING WEAR; no writing, folds, stains, marks, cuts, holes or tears. Label shows tiny cut at spindle hole that is very minor. Otherwise, just about perfect.

DISC has a moderate amount of light scratches, but it still retains its surface sheen. The scratches are audible, but cause only moderate ticks & surface noise and no skips. (matrix 208032X-A/B). I grade the cover as "E" ("Excellent") and the disc as "V" ("Very Good"). Please see below for our grading standards.

E+ = Excellent +, Record shows very light wear, should play like new.

E = Excellent, Record shows light scratches/scuffs which should NOT be audible when played.

E- = Excellent -, Record shows light scratches and scuffs that MAY be audible.

V+ = Very Good +, Record shows moderate scratches and scuffs or wear that WILL be audible.

V = Very Good, Record shows moderate/heavy scratches and scuffs that WILL be audible and MAY skip.

V- =Very Good -, Record shows considerable scratches and wear. Good for a fill-in until a better copy turns up.

P = Poor, What can I say! Record is in poor condition, plays very rough. We will only offer P condition items if they are extremely rare or unusual.
