Description
"The Steamer"....
My grading INCLUDES the pictures and description...A couple of letters ("VG"..NM"...etc) is NOT sufficient to give a proper idea of a grade..So check out the description!!..
Heres's a tough one to find (especially in this condition!).....
Issued by HMV in 1959..CVLP 1276...UK pressing in a front laminated heavy duty card sleeve...(Garrord And Lofthouse)..The mothers and stampers are 1G/1G (This means it was on of the earliest off the press)...It still has it's original polylined HMV inner bag (unsplit)...
The record has a few light hairlines on each side..None of which are deep or dangerous looking.It plays really well..I noted a few very light clicks on the first side but they are in the back ground and do not interfere with the music..There is minimal background noise (A deep clean would certainly sort this out!)....No edge warps either.
Played on a Shure cartridge at 2g ..(Your system MAY give a different result!)
The labels are undamaged and the text is bright and untarnished..There are only light spindle trails which suggest that it has had minimal play.....
The sleeve has light wear to the opening edges and very light scuffing to the laminate (when angled to the light)..No laminate lift or peel,straight corners and spine...The back has heavy age yellowing to the unlaminated card (A natural process,not much can be done about it!)..Also a small line in red felt tip...
