SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION – “self-titled” (1972) Capitol-11021 original green label pressing EX/EX (cover/record)

A guitar-led U.K. prog rock obscurity with blues and psych influences that has become a sought-after classic. In traditional Capitol Records form, once this bombed commercially, copies were recalled and destroyed – not cut out and sent to budget stores, so it is very difficult to find. The band is Gary Margetts-vocals, guitars; Tris Margetts-bass, vocals; and Tony Brick-drums, percussion, vocals. The tracks are “Speed Of Light,” “Listen To The Wind,” “Leaving,” “200 Lives,” “Down With the Moon,” and “Reminder.” Cool cover – one of those LPs on the label that few know about because there are so few copies that exist today!

This is an original pressing. The cover is beautiful with only the slightest wear. The green label vinyl has a few light sleeve scuffs but is super glossy and clean. Really nice copy! Conservative grading: EX/EX (cover/record).

I package all LPs securely in record mailers and remove the vinyl from the covers to prevent seam splits during mailing. I do not just stick your record in a priority mailer box from the post office or between two thin pieces of cardboard with no additional packaging materials like so many others!!!
