On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Spencer Davis Group called "The Second Album" and is an ORIGINAL 1965 UK MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press 'Textured' Fontana label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THIS IS ONE OF THE SPENCER DAVIS GROUP'S RAREST LPs EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!! JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!! BACK IN 1965 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!! AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE, AND IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!! NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS MADE EVEN RARER STILL - AS IT IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - WITH THE ULTRA RARE 'ISLAND RECORDS' LOGO ON THE REVERSE OF THE COVER (SEE PICTURES)!!!! AS MANY COLLECTORS MAY ALREADY KNOW, THE SPENCER DAVIS GROUP WERE CONTRACTED TO ISLAND RECORDS AT THE TIME OF THIS LPS RELEASE. HOWEVER, BECAUSE ISLAND WERE A VERY SMALL COMPANY AT THE TIME & WOULDNT BE ABLE TO COPE WITH THE DEMAND EXPECTED - FONTANA PRESSED & SOLD THEIR RECORDS INSTEAD!!!! AND SO, ON THE REVERSE OF A TINY HANDFUL OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP - THERE IS PRINTED 'AN ISLAND RECORD PRODUCTION' TEXT!!!! HOWEVER, WHAT MAKES THIS 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING REALLY SPECIAL - IS THAT IT ALSO HAS THE THE 'ISLAND RECORDS' LOGO PRINTED ON THE COVER BACK ASWELL (SEE PICTURES!) WHICH WAS REMOVED ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS!!!! AND THIS MAKES THIS 1ST PRESSING TRULY RARE - BECAUSE MOST 1ST PRESSINGS NEVER HAD THIS LOGO PRINTED ON THE COVER BACK AT ALL!!!!
BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS IN ABSOLUTELY AWESOME CONDITION!!!! AND THIS IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!! THE RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL, AND IS IN AMAZING CONDITION, THE INNER SLEEVE IS ABSOLUTELY SUPERB, AND THE LAMINATED COVER IS SIMPLY STUNNING!!!! JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1965 UK MONO 1ST PRESSING ON 1ST PRESS 'TEXTURED' FONTANA LABEL, 1ST PRESS 1/1 MONO MATRIX ENDINGS, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS LAMINATED MONO COVER!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL Fontana UK 1st Pressing from 1965 and is in AWESOME condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is TL 5295 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Fontana label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st Pressing!!!!
The record labels are in AMAZING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is in AWESOME condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the VERY lightest paper scuffs only visible under EXTREME light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS AWESOME!!!! It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!! The record must grade MINT(Minus)!!!! AWESOME RECORD!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!! The 1st Press Laminated MONO Cover is in SUPERB condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), barely ANY creases AT ALL (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), VERY shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in SUPERB condition with NO grubbyness, NO ringwear, NO rubbing, NO yellowing (apart from an absolutely TINY yellowed residue trace towards the top right), and NO writing!!!! The cover must grade Excellent+ if not better!!!! SUPERB COVER!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
