What about it ? Space Art is a French band formed in 1977 by Dominique Perrier on keyboards and Roger Rizzitelli on drums. Their first LP was released at the same time than Jean-Michel Jarre’s, “Oxygene.” Knowledgeable Jarre fans recognize their names, both were on the 1981 China tour. Dominique Perrier played keyboards on most Jarre LPs and live shows and is often credited with art collaboration. But Space Art is not a clone and has really distinctive style, due in large part to the heavy drums by Rizzitelli (inspired by Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Soft Machine, etc), and experimenting with new sounds & machines. This 3rd LP appeals much the late 70s Kraftwerk sound and a nice piecs of cosmic synth pop mixed with pseudo disco, electronic games tunes and pure mid’ 70s space music.
