SOUTHERN COMFORT - "Southern Comfort" - Sire/London LP (SES 97011) USA, 1969

Mega rare original USA pressing of the 1969 Southern Comfort LP.

Featuring Martin Stone of The Action and Mighty Baby, alongside blues legends Walter 'Shakey' Horton and Jerome Arnold this was originally recorded in England in 1968, then released a year later in the USA.

Reportedly selling a mere 400 copies on release this has become a very collectible LP, not least for the 12-minute psych-blues-raga "Netti Netti" which closes Side 2... Copies of this one have been known to top £100 when they turn up...

This has the blue & pink Sire/London labels, the proper pasted-on card sleeve and the correct period inner sleeve too, see pics for details.

Vinyl is in VGC+ condition (RC Guide), the sleeve has some wear but I'd say overall is in good condition, and the original London Records inner is worn although there's a plain white inner too.

This really is a hard LP to find and is part of a collection of vintage vinyl I am selling on behalf of a friend- don't miss out and don't forget to check my other listings for more rare LPs...
