SOUL CARAVAN Get In High (CBS S 63268) RARE Orig Krautrock XHOL

Mega-rare German original first pressing of this krautrock/psych-soul classic, released on CBS in early 1968. To imagine what this record sounds like, think
The Chambers Brothers` "Time Has Come Today" (obviously a major influence on the two most overtly psychedelic tracks, "Get In High" and "Psychodelic Soul"), or Sam & Dave with somewhat more jazz-oriented horn charts.

Soul Caravan of course lost their two black singers and mutated into Xhol (Caravan), later penning the "communal jazz-psych" classic "Motherf*ckers & Co." (without the asterisk, of course). You just have to admire the German sense of humour on display here!

Contrary to most of Xhol Caravan`s other records, "Get In High" has never been released on CD.

Grading:

VG+(+) COVER with a few creases along the edges (about a dozen in all) and a bent rear upper corner. Seam split (2") on the spine. Please see photos for details.

VG+ RECORD has moderate hairlining, as well as the assorted scuff and/or scratch. Plays well all the way through with the occasional pop but no skips. Moderate background crackle between tracks.
