PORTABLE BATTERY / POWER SUPPLY OPERATED
STEREO RECORD PLAYER SYSTEM
This rare Sony PS-F5 portable turntable was quite sensational when it hit the market in the 80's and it is truly a work of art and functionality. It epitomized the Sony Walkman concept by making a portable unit that could be powered by battery, it takes four 1.5 volt batteries (size AA) to get you walkin and rockin! Or an 6 Volt standard adaptor.
It could be monitored with up to two sets of headphones or hooked up to an existing stereo component system. Today it is a sought after collectible, if you missed to buy one then here is your chance!
Compared to 80s standards it also had some remarkable technical highlights like linear tracking arm, direct drive turntable, micro-processor control, four legs which retract in a smart rotating way, plays in any position and so on.

This unit can play a record either vertically or horizontally. It can be used lying down on a table or stereo cabinet or even mounted on an interior wall.

This turntable is in remarkable condition. It was gently used over its life, spending most of its time stored away. I fully tested the unit, all features and functions are working. This Sony PS-F5 sounds great. The stylus / cartridge is in excellent shape with no signs of ware. It just has a couple of minor cosmetic blemishes / cleaning marks when it is held up in the light.
