Description

Sonny Rollins

Plus Four

With: Clifford Brown, Max Roach, George Morrow, Richie Powell.

Label: Prestige PRLP-7038, Mono. RVG is stamped in the runout groove, 446 West 50th St. N.Y.C. address.

Cover: rw, rub at corners, flaking at right edge, pen obc.  Vinyl is visually NM- with full-gloss. Please see photos of the labels for a closer look at the spindle.

This is my personal copy of this record. It has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty Audiophile Record Cleaning Machine. I do not have my audiophile system set up right now. All records are visually graded however, I did spot check this record with my portable with a mono needle and it seemed to play fine. If you are using a Stereo needle cartridge or one of those Crosley record players, it may not play the same. I have no idea what that would sound like. Mono needles are best for playing records that were recorded in Mono (as a rule). Please keep this in mind when considering a purchase. Shipping for this item will be USPS Priority mail Insured.

All items will be carefully packaged for maximum protection removing the lp from the cover. Solid Eco-Friendly packaging, superior to average record mailers. We are veteran eBay sellers with over 20 years of Positive Vinyl Grading and Selling Experience. For combined shipping, just email the list of titles that you are interested in and we will combine them for you.

Heres a brief explanation of my grading system, followed by an overview of abbreviations you will encounter...

  • SS  Still Sealed - in factory-fresh condition
  • M  Mint - I don't use this grade.
  • NM or Mint Minus - a near perfect record
  • Excellent a great record, slightly below M- but above average (VG+).
  • VG++  Minor signs of play or handling. Average vinyl condition.
  • VG Very Good - a used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still acceptable.
  • VG- Very Good Minus - significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise.
  • G+ Good Plus. In the record world, 'Good' is not good! From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about beat-up records.
