Sonny Rollins/ Saxophone Colossus. Prestige PRLP 7079. Orig. US mono pressing (deep groove; W 50th St. address on label and cover; RVG in dead wax, both sides). LP is VG to VG+--it has a number of side long sleeve lines and light scratches; some light ticks and clicks in passages but plays mostly VG+; no skips or repeats. Cover is VG, with upper split seam that has 6 inch clear tape; 5 inch clear tape on bottom seam at LP opening and 2 inch split untaped; lamination peel; no writing or other defacements. Great VG range copy (note: I use EX in grading hierarchy between VG and NM) of this essential jazz classic. With Max Roach, Tommy Flanagan, Doug Watkins. An epochal jazz album.
