Description
Superb and very rare, highly sought after 45 by Sonny Munro. Songs are "Open The Door To Your Heart" and "(Tears) Can Only Make The Problems Wet". Original U.S. Stock issue on Epic Records #50174 released in 1975. Condition is VG- to VG (6-) has several surface marks, has some background surface noise (hiss/crackle), mostly audible in first 15 seconds, clears up significantly as song plays on, music loud and clear above surface noise. The stock issue is extremely sought after, showing up on several want lists, a genuine rarity, in 30+ years of collecting I have only come across this once. If you are not familiar with this rarity I believe there is a soundclip at the John Manship website auction page and a soul club.org has a soundclip of Open The Door To Your Heart (nice version of the Darrell Banks, JJ Barnes,et Detroit classic). I've been told by overseas collectors that this rare stock issue is fetching upwards of $450 to $550 dollars. Don't miss out, very low opening bid and no reserve. Good luck in the auction.
Grading Scale:
10: Mint Perfect record, clean gloss, no marks, beautiful in every way. Very few records will make mint.
9: Mint- Very clean, only a few light marks. A great record.
8: Excellent (VG++) Condition between 7 and 9.
7: VG+ Used, but not abused. Light scratches only. Should play, and look very nice with minimal surface noise.
6: VG Still a nice record. Looks a bit used, light scratches, no gouges, still plays well, some surface noise.
5: VG- A bit rough but will play ok. Fills the collection.
4: G Plays very rough. Has multiple scratches. What a bargain!!
