PRODUCED BY ALFRED LION CONDITION VINYL = EX  SLEEVE = VG++ light wear.  Includes insert - NO OBI NICE COPY The material on this LP was originally slated for release after Sonny's "Cool Struttin'" album (being assigned catalog number Blue Note 1592), and was advertised in Blue Note's catalog as an upcoming release at the time. Blue Note 1592 was never released at the time . These sessions finally issued in late 70's as a Blue Note Japan release "Sonny Clark Quintets" (Blue Note Japan LNJ 70093) as well as a promotional album also titled "Sonny Clark Quintets" (Blue Note Japan BRP 8049). This album contains the same material, and has same cover design as the classic 'Cool Struttin'
Side 1 was recorded January 5th, 1958. Side 2 was recorded December 8th, 1958.
