Description
Up for grabs is a rare, five record, 78rpm collection of SONGS OF THE SERVICE (Victor Records - P 117 1942) complete and in very good condition!
Records included:
1) The Army Air Corps/Song of the Army Engineer
2) The Marine's Hymn/Song of the Signal Corps
3) The Infantry Kings of the Highway/Sabre and Spurs
4) Anchor's Away/Semper Paratus
5) The Caissons Go Rolling Along/Crash On! Artillery *
All discs are in used but VERY good condition (no chunks missing, no major scratches and overall good shape especially for the age of this collection). * The ONLY disc that is damaged is The Caissons Go Rolling Along/Crash On! Artillery, which has a hairline crack running through both sides of it. (I'm sure someone can find a single edition of this particular recording to replace this one if this is a concern). With the exception of that one defect, this is in amazing condition and complete! In fact, it's extremely hard to find this collection in this shape and with all five original discs included!
The cover is in very good condition as well although there is some wear from sliding in and out of a record collection. Whoever owned this previously must have taken great pride in their collection as the ones I acquired recently have all been in great shape and complete with inserts, etc.
All of the sleeves in this collection are intact and have no rips or tears and are attached firmly to the spine.
