ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! –
Factory Sealed
Make no mistake, this is a warm, natural chamber-music recording by loudspeaker manufacturer David Wilson, one of the best recordists on the planet. (He wanted real music that he could witness, know in his bones, to help him design the best loudspeakers. So he took up recording.)
Next, the people involved in this project reads like a Hall of Fame: John Curl (of Mark Levinson fame) designed the recorder; Stan Ricker did the mastering, Teldec did the pressing, and the whole enterprise was auditioned through Wilson WATTs and WAMMs, utilizing Spectral electronics from Keith Johnson (Reference Records).
The end result is a sonic image of a violinist on the right-inside edge of your loudspeakers, the piano no doubt a Hamburg Steinway model D concert grand, gloriously captured on the left, in a space of two players so well defined, your listening room is suddenly transformed into Mills College Concert Hall, where it was recorded.
A wonderful delivery of Debussy, Brahms, and Bartok, captured in a manner that rivals the very best LPs for utter transparency and an undeniable sense of space.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $14 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $5, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
