'Beyond The Crimson Horizon' is the second full-length from epic, doom metal daddies, Solitude Aeturnus, originally released in 1992. The project marked a fine-tuning of the group's vision, as well as crafting a blueprint for a plethora of doom-tinted acts to come in the ensuing decades. Featuring frontman Robert Lowe in his prime, before his later, equally important work in Candlemass, this Roadrunner release came at a time when the label's roster was a dynamic melting pot of diverse output that only in recent years has regained its expansive edge. With exceptional timing, there's never been a more prime opportunity to rediscover a criminally underrated genre classic.
