'Snoopies' was an alternative music venue in Richmond (London) that closed its doors in 1981. As a 'celebration' of the venue, the promoter there gave the wonderfully named Ralph.E.Boy unrestricted access to the demo tapes of bands that had played there. Ralph picked 15 of the best tracks for a compilation album, and privately pressed 1000 copies on to vinyl.

Ralph's own Rich and Famous –a true Norse Saga of violence and heartbreak about Ralph's Norwegian girlfriend Gunhilde, a well-radicalized university girl whose friends nicknamed her "Machine Gun". 

Ralph E. Boy and Nick East (from the 'Fits, here with BabyBabyBabyBaby) played in the legendary (and, naturally, never-released) House of Noise, and Ralph also joined the Tronics during their Transistor Sister period, but released nothing further on his own.

The records I'm listing now or I'm going to list in the following weeks, come from the basement of a record shop now sadly closed (so all the vinyls are in NM/EX condition, while the sleeves could have signs of their age). Anyway I'll try to well describe all their flaws.

VINYL GRADING :

  • Mint (M) record new and/or unplayed.
  • NearMint (NM) record in beautiful shape.
  • Excellent (EX) if there's a flaw on the sleeve or vinyl, it's very minor and is still a great copy.
  • Very Good (VG) the sleeve has minor shop wear, is creased and/or shows a ring impression; while the vinyl shows some signs of handling.
  • Good (G) the record is used but not abused.The sleeve shows multiple flaws (seam split, ring wear), while the vinyl may have some surface noise (no skips or pops) and shows small scratches that don't affect the sound.
  • Fair (F) the sleeve shows a lot of flaws(seam splits, ring wears), while the vinyl shows loads of surface noise and scratches or other defects.
