Description

For sale is 1969 original pressing “Smooth as Raw Silk” by the Cleveland-based band, Silk. SILK. Released on the ABC Record label (ABCS-694) this hard to find vinyl was considered a lost psychedelic classic (“there are some true mindblowers on this”) and the group was a springboard for Michael Stanley Gee, who later formed the Michael Stanley Band and for procuder Bill Szymczyk who later achieved fame with The Eagles. Personnel are: Michael Gee (bass), Courtney Johns (drums), Randy Sabo (keyboards), and Chris Johns (guitar).

The gateford cover is worn a little at the edges (see photo) and has a small hole from the manufacturer on the bottom right, and is essentially in excellent to near mint condition as it is clean - no stains or splits. Inside are lyrics, credits and band photo. The vinyl shows no signs of wear and actually feels a little thicker than other vinyl from this era. Securely wrapped and sent by media mail.
