Up for auction here is the original 1st US 1968 pressing of this all time classic UK psych LP, with the beautiful elaborate fold out cover. This has the full 5 panel sleeve (not the later inferior 2 panel version) made to look like an olde English tobacco tin, with some great band pictures too. Most of these originals are in terrible shape, always falling apart and really tatty, but this copy is in GREAT condition: Fully intact and solid with bright vivid colours- a really joy to handle and stare at- perfect for display!!!

HYPE: Beware of the inferior later "picture disc" or non-fold out copies! They are fakes! This is the real deal.

SPECIFICS: Released on Andrew Loog Oldhams's wonderful but short lived IMMEDIATE records inc. Z12 52008 STEREO 1968, pink label. Distributed by CBS records, NYC

CONDITION: Sleeve: EX. The best copy I've seen of this. Fully intact and solid. No tears or writing. There are a few slightly dinged edges and general signs of wear consistent with age (37 years!), but nothing serious. LP: VG. The record has maintained full gloss and plays well, but there are a few light marks and scratches, and one biggish mark on side two which causes a click throughout "mad john" (bringing the overall grade down). Other than that, the record sounds fantastic. Labels: gorgeous near minty labels!
