One of the greatest Funk and Soul groups of the late 1960's-early 1970's, Sly Stone and company always delivered, with their music having a social commentary overtone to it. This still FACTORY SEALED GATEFOLD JACKET LP was released in 1971 (38 YEARS!), and is the original cover with the flag before it was changed to a photo in later releases of the album. The back cover is a color and B/W photo montage of the Family Stone. While not received as well as it should have been at the time of release, even though it had two hit singles off it right away, following the great album 'Stand' was a tough act to follow, it later was recognized as one of the greatest and most influential albums ever recorded! This is probably the most important album Sly & The Family Stone had in its catalog!
