B Side: DEAF DISCO
Hand made gatefold cover on used 1970's track-feed computer printout paper plus insert.
Aussie post punk classic. These guys were into a cacophony of sound. Terrifyingly rare.
Listed in Johan Kugelberg's top 100 DIY 7"s of all time.
Slugfuckers were an experimental Australian post-punk group that started in the late 1970s in Sydney, Australia by Terry Blake (vocals), John Laidler (guitar) and Graham Forsyth (bass) who were all at
the time students or recent graduates of the Department of General Philosophy at Sydney University.
As well as the original punk /DIY /primitive /anti-competence ethos they were inspired by among other things Anti Oedipus by contemporary philosophers Deleuze and Guitarri .
Condition of Record is VERY GOOD+ both sides clean but typical of private pressings there's noticeable surface noise due to poor mastering and pressing. Both sides play through fine, but B-side has a few pops.
Oddly enough, the surface noise enhances the already messed up 'compositions' that you don't experience when listening to the 2011 reissue 12" and compilation CD.
Conditon of Sleeve is VERY GOOD, silkscreened on used computer paper so therefore rumpled as shown.
1/2" separation at top of gatefold spine. Insert with edge creases as shown. Silkscreen color is orange and yellow, though it also exists in at least one other combination of blue and yellow.
I've been owner of this copy for 15 years and it has been carefully stored in a smoke-free home.
This rarity is not to be missed as this 7" seldom comes up for auction.
