THE CATS ARE SWINGIN'--Near-Mint 1988 Album by bassist Slam Stewart, from a recording session made 16 days before Stewart's death--on the Sertoma label, out of Binghamton, New York--this is a Limited Edition copy (#459 of 1000 made), autographed by many of the musicians--a standard regular edition copy of this album is also available from this seller

The jacket back cover is plain blank white.

- PERSONNEL: Slam Stewart--bass, vocal; Peter Appleyard--vibraphone; Richard Wyands--piano; Bucky Pizzarelli--guitar; Sherri Maricle--drums; Kent McGarity--trombone; and Al Hamme--tenor sax, plus Major Holley--bass on few tracks recorded after Stewart's death and John Pizzarelli--vocal and guitar on "Sertoma."
- SONGS: The Cats Are Swinging; Slambow; A Ballad for My Love; Sertoma; 80 Chestnut Street; Sir Slamelot; and Flat Foot Floogie. Stewart's wife Claire wrote the first and third songs.
