RODRIGUEZ - COLD FACT DEBUT ALBUM - ORIGINAL US 1970: This is your chance to bid on this legendary album by RODRIGUEZ. For sale here is the classic debut album by SIXTO RODRIGUEZ. It was issued in March 1970 in the US on the BUDDAH off-shoot SUSSEX label. Indeed COLD FACT was the first ever release on SUSSEX. The album was not a success when first issued & sank without a trace. RODRIGUEZ made one more album before quitting the music scene. Unbeknownst to Rodriguez the COLD FACT album was taking off in Australia, New Zealand & South Africa. The album spent 55 weeks on the Australian album chart. Somehow a rumour began to spread that RODRIGUEZ was dead. This led to 2 fans attempting to find out the truth about what had happened to their favourite artist. Their search was the subject of the OSCAR winning 2012 documentary SEARCHING FOR SUGAR MAN. COLD FACT when released on CD went PLATINUM in SOUTH AFRICA. A copy of the MOJO magazine article from August 2002 in the "BURIED TREASURE" series featuring the album is included with the record. Tracklisting: Side One:
