Description

This is a really rare chance to obtain a stunning conditioned copy of a montstrously rare album that just NEVER turns up!

This, first Sir Douglas Quintet album was issued on UK London in 1966, and sold very badly, ensuring massive rarity! It is a great album as well, featuring the terrific tex mex garage rock of Doug Sahm- great self composed songs, great covers and great vocals, plus augie meyers crazy vox organ!

US copies of this album are pretty common, and are always available, and UK pressings (far superior in quality to the poorly mastered US version) must be outnumbered massively by them.

The condition of this copy is nothing short of stunning- it had been played, but very carefully, and exhibits no scratching, surface marks etc, just a minimum of paper scuffs that you really have to look for to see. It plays perfectly- no noise, no distortion, no nothing, just the sound of near pristine sixties mono vinyl!! The sleeve is nearly in the same condition- it is perfectly flat and has sharp corners, but has obviously been pinned to the wall at some stage, and has a few pin holes. The rear has a tape mark, and staining, but overall, the impression is of a very nice conditioned cover, despite these issues.

Don't miss out!! you are unlikely to see this again, especially in this stunning condition!!!!!

Sorry, I forgot to give this album a grading! The record is in at least Ex, possibly Ex+.... Stunning!
