Description

This album features Cambodian legend Sinn Sisamouth on side one, and the great Pen Ran on side two. The music is played by the Orchestre des Artistes Khmers.

As you already know, LPs from Cambodia are extremely rare. Despite the vinyl and cover being in pretty rough condition, I am pleased to offer this LP for sale because it is such a rarity. I have included a detailed condition description as well as links to audio and video below.

Vinyl condition: The record is significantly warped. The warp causes the first 3 songs on both sides to skip, and the 4th song on both sides to play with a swooshing noise. The final 2 songs on both sides play without any effect from the warp. I have included links to recordings of the last 2 songs on each side so you can hear how they play. I have also included a link to a video of the record spinning on a turntable so you can see the warp. I have not tried to repair this warp in a flattening machine, so that is a possibility.

Cover condition: The cover is falling apart, seemingly because the cardboard has become dry and brittle and is starting to flake-away. The previous owner wrapped the cover in plastic-warp, and I have left it like that ever since pulling it out of a stack of old records a few years ago. The condition of the cover has not visible degraded since then as I have stored in carefully. Please have a look at the photos to get a better sense of the condition.
