Here I have a copy of
a very rare one sided 12" copper coated metal master acetate from
Simple Minds
Featuring 'Waterfront' ( 7" cut )
on extremely rare original UK The Townhouse Studios one sided 12" metal master acetate pressing with hand written studio paper label which has come loose
later released through Virgin Records in 1991
A very unique and uncommon Simple Minds collectable
Due to the copper fronting on the plate it has had a very slight reaction to storage but can still be played and has incredible depth to the sound.
Studio Acetate records are cut on a machine for test purposes, and the recording surface is soft. Repeated playing decreases the sound quality and there will be a bit of a hiss / noise to them. This is no fault of the engineering; acetate records were not designed for constant repeated use.
This metal master acetate is much more resiliant to repeated plays and the track has incredible depth to the sound
This metal acetate will be packaged and charged as below due to the heavy weight and packed very securely for safe delivery.
