WITHOUT QUESTION THE RAREST U.K. DARK ACID FOLK LP

This LP has to be the most hard to locate worldwide non private press Dark Acid Folk album in existence.

When was the last time your saw a copy of this impossible to find uk dark acid folk LP up for sale?

As soon as this album was put out to sale in 1970 it was almost immediately withdrawn due to issues with the sleeve, what the issues were i have tried to find out but to no avail.

----------

The album has a really excellent original blend of dark Acid Folk songs, sometimes really frightening & bizarre and at other times really haunting & beautiful, the album sleeve's front and rear extreme designs are in keeping with what is contained in the mega rare groves of both sides of the vinyl.

Tracks vary from the extremes of the very excellent spaced out drug influenced song ''IN THE COURTYARD'' to the fantastic manic long epic tracks ''BIG WHITE CAR'' & ''JERUSALEM''.

My personal favorite is a track called ''PATRICE'',one of the most relaxing and beautiful songs that you will ever hear, very similar to Nick Drake at his best on his fantastic ''FIVE LEAVES LEFT'' 1969 Island LP.

Simon Finn's pass the distance really is a rare as hell album worth raving about.

A extremely excellent consistent blend of Dark Acid Folk tracks.

The sleeve is in very good condition

In the top left hand corner(FRONT) there is a small piece of green card stuck as a repair, although the green colour is darker than the album jacket.

On the rear bottom right there is the name Bob written in small letters in blue biro.

There is a small amount of ring wear mainly noticeable on the front middle & top,the last thing to mention is general edge and spine wear, the words on the spine are still just about readable.

The insert that came with the LP is sadly missing.i emailed Simon Finn through his website and tried to wangle some scans of the albums original rare insert. The man could not oblige with the scans but he did send me a wordpad document with LP info of who plays which instrument on which song,as you may know members of the great mushroom stable mates SECONDHAND & CHILLUM play on some tracks.

The vinyl condition is Near Excellent

both sides of the record are very clean, there are only a couple of visible light marks ,most of the album plays faultless but there is very minor surface noise in some places,

the only louder audible click to point out occurs on a quiet passage on the track ''In The Courtyard''.

Both the albums labels are in excellent clean condition.

It  would be very difficult to locate the vinyl in better condition as the number of copies to survive are very very miniscule.

This Dark Acid Folk LP does not appear for sale ever,i have never seen another original copy for sale so get it while it's here.
