This auction is for the RARE LP 33 1/3 RPM record entitled " SIGURD RASCHER. A CLASSICAL RECITAL ON THE SAXOPHONE ". The CONCERT HALL SOCIETY record is in very nice condition with some faint scuffing (not scratching) on both sides. The LP sleeve with the photo of Sigurd Rascher and a drawing of a saxophone with the title of the recording, is in general very good condition. The top edge has a split. The other edges have some light wear but overall it is nice for it's age. This recording was published by CONCERT HALL SOCIETY RECORDS. Catalog #CHS 1156. This is easily the holy grail of all of the recordings recorded during the Sigurd Rascher's lifetime and is very rare. In almost 40 years of collecting classical saxophone recordings I have seen this LP twice!!!!!! It might be the holy grail of all classical saxophone recordings!!!!! A great record!!!!!!!
