Description

Great condition example of this absolute classic, what makes this one particularly special is that it was signed by Chaim Topol, who of course voiced Tevye, and played him on both stage and screen. The autograph in silver pen reads: "Shalom Chaim Topol Bristol OCT 94", on the rear of the sleeve there are two dates written in pen, 10th March 1967 and 15th April 1967 - I'm unsure of the significance of these dates in particular but understand that the show opened in Feb '67 so might be dates the original owner went to the show?
Topol passed away in March this year, and fans of his work would be delighted to own this, especially knowing that 50% of the money will go to the British Red Cross who are working hard to support the innocent civilians suffering on both sides of the latest tragedy in Israel and occupied Palestine.

AI says this about it: This is a rare and unique vinyl record from 1967 featuring the original London cast album of the musical "Fiddler on the Roof". The record is signed by the artist Topol and comes in a cardboard sleeve. The catalogue number is CBS 70030 and it plays at 33 RPM on a 12" record size. The record label is CBS Records and the composer is Jerry Bock. The genre is classical and the style is musicals. This vinyl is a great addition to any music collection and is perfect for fans of Topol or "Fiddler on the Roof".
