NOTE:   This album came from the extensive personal collection of a former record store owner who retired from the retail music business in the early 80’s.  His albums have been stored virtually untouched and unplayed since that time in a climate controlled, non-smoking environment. 

Included with the collection were a small quantity of autographed LPs from occasions when artists would be in town to promote their new release with personal appearances at his stores.  I am in the process of selling many such items including investment grade colored vinyl LPs, promos, sealed LPs, and other rare memorabilia from this once-in-a-lifetime collection over the coming months.  Authenticity is totally guaranteed.

Condition: 

DISC:  Vinyl is gorgeous NM, a beauty!  The playing surface is immaculate, with a high luster, played a small number of times and handled with care.  Plays beautifully with superb fidelity.  Labels are clean and pristine. 

JACKET:  Jacket is NEAR MINT with clean and bright panels.  Bit of shelf wear on along the bottom.  Slight bumps at corner tips.  No cutout marks or other issues.  A beautiful jacket worthy of display.

Reverse panel is signed “Mike – Robert Fripp” – guaranteed to be authentic.   Overall a very nice item and will make an excellent “get” for the rock ‘n roll autograph collector.

“Conceived as the third part of an MOR trilogy that included Peter Gabriel's second album and Daryl Hall's Sacred Songs, Exposure is concerned with a marketplace that Fripp saw as hostile to experimentation and hungry for product.  Strangely, then, Exposure is one of his most varied and successful rock albums, offering a broad selection of styles.  "Water Music I and II" is pure Frippertronics; "Disengage" and "I May Not Have Had Enough of Me But I've Had Enough of You" are angular, jagged rock like he would make with the reformed King Crimson; "North Star" is a soulful ballad led by Daryl Hall on vocals, and a less bombastic version of "Here Comes the Flood" with Peter Gabriel singing makes a melancholic ending.  Peter Hammill, Terre Roche, and Narada Michael Walden also add vocals to a pleasant experiment in pop, Fripp style.”
