Description

Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:  TITLE & ARTIST: "Shorty Courts the Count" - by Shorty Rogers on the RCA Records label (LJM 1004), in beautiful original monaural sound, released in 1954. CONDITION: JACKET - VG+ (Jacket has splits in top and bottom of recordsleeve part of gatefold design; there are pen numbers beside each song listed on inside record sleeve; all corners and edges are lightly worn; back cover has light ring wear; front cover with its Flora artwork is only very lightly marked with slight ring wear - please see actual album in photo); VINYL - VG++ (RCA Record's original black/silver label is unmarked and the vinyl has some light scuff marks - Visually Graded under custom spotlight).  SPECIAL FEATURES: This is one of the best examples I've seen of this classic Shorty album/Flora cover. It is absolutely suitable for framing with only the lightest scuffs on the front jacket. As an added bonus, the music sounds great too. TRACKS: Jump For Me, Topsy, It's Sand Man, Basie Eyes, Doggin' Around, Down for Double, Over and Out, H & J, Taps Miller, Tickletoe, Swingin' the Blues, and Walk Don't Run. Thanks! If you have further questions about condition or content, please don't hesitate to ask. You may bid with unworried confidence. Our sales history is your assurance of absolute integrity. Thank you and good luck. OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
