SHOCKING BLUE - VENUS (PFX-11,707) 7" Mono EP (Australia) 1970 This is the 1st pressing with the word "Monaural" printed on the back sleeve. Labels feature the earliest font/typeset. The sleeve is fully laminated, and textured on the front. It's in BEAUTIFUL condition - clean with only the very slightest hints of shelf-wear. NO creases or splits - no writings. The back sleeve is crisp and white, with the only evidence of age being some discoloration to the very extreme edges where the laminate terminates. (see pic) Lamination is superb and NOT lifting, peeling or bubbling anywhere! You will be very lucky to EVER see another 1st edition sleeve in such STUNNING condition given its age - graded as EX+. Labels are completely CLEAN and free of any writings or stickers etc - as mentioned features the earliest font and typeset layout. Vinyl has a few very minor nicks, and an obvious mark across side 2 which itself does not seem to specifically affect play. Record retains an excellent shine and lustre and plays through with excellent sound dynamics however there is some audible pop and crackle. It may be possible to reduce this with a professional sonic or spin clean. Graded at VG+, mostly due to the (inaudible) mark on side 2.
