You are bidding on THE SHIRELLES I MET HIM ON A SUNDAY / I WANT YOU TO BE MY BOYFRIEND .
This is a 78 RPM on Decca 30588 Canadian issue released in 1957.
This features Shirley Alston as lead singer and was their first recording before they made a string of # 1 hits such as TONIGHT’S THE NIGHT , WILL YOU LOVE ME TOMORROW, SOLDIER BOY , DEDICATED TO THE ONE I LOVE.
Label is clean ( light spindle marks)
Shellac is a very glossy VG+ and better with a few minor scuff marks and a few minor light hairline scratches.
Sound quality is excellent – loud and clean.
However please note when placing your final bid: ANY ITEM SELLING FOR $75.00 OR MORE MUST BE SHIPPED BY EXPRESSPOST WITH A TRACKING # IF YOU USE PAYPAL. Cost for this is from $25-35 for US destinations and $60-$70 for overseas.
Paypal offers seller protection only with a tracking number, confirmed address and signature of having received the item. Unfortunately I've been scammed a number of times recently on big ticket items with buyers wanting it shipped by regular airmail and then filing a dispute with paypal claiming they never received the item. Paypal automatically sent them a refund because I did not provide a tracking # even though I sent them a photocopy of an officail Canada Psot receipt as proof of shipment.
If you pay with a personal check, MO or wire transfer , then shipping is $12 in the US or $31 overseas. This will include insurance up to $100 in case of loss or damage
