1971, B&C label, cat. no. CAS1043, 10 tracks.
This LP has been in my collection since I bought it, secondhand, the best part of 30 years ago. I've always stored it indoors and upright, but haven't played it for many years, so recently I gave it a clean and played it to check it (see below).
I am not a dealer so I don't have that level of expert knowledge about things like different pressings etc, but I do try to describe LPs I am selling accurately (perhaps brutally so in this case!), and I will always try to answer questions. Plus, if when you receive the LP you feel that my description was inaccurate, simply return the LP within 7 days of receipt for a full refund.
Supporting musicians on this LP include Richard Thompson, Danny Thompson, Dave Mattacks, Keith Christmas, Pat Donaldson, etc., etc.
SURFACES - visually unmarked, no warping. Matrix numbers:- side 1 = CAS 1043 A-1U, side 2 = CAS 1043 B-2U. When I played the LP (Sansui deck, Ortofon cartridge) there were no skips or jumps, and the sound was very good, clear vocals and instrumentation - I'd actually forgotten what a good album it is. Side 1 does have a little occasional surface noise, side 2 is virually free of that and played excellently. (It might be that a "professional" clean of side 1 would reduce or eliminate the bit of surface noise)
COVER - easily dealt with, because it is pretty rough,as you will see from the photograph! Heavy ring-wear, all edges scuffed, seams coming unglued at top and bottom. The inner sleeve is of thicker than normal paper, and is illustrated on both sides with a "pattern" of stars, presumably a customised inner sleeve for this release (stars, Stargazer -geddit?).
