SEX PISTOLS - "NEVER MIND THE BULLOCKS, HERE’S THE SEX PISTOLS" - CLASSIC PUNK VINYL ALBUM LP RECORD


RARE - ORIGINAL PROMO COPY IN RARE LIME GREEN COVER (FROM FRANCE - see below for more details) 


This original 1977 FIRST PRESS album is near mint to mint. The cover is VG+ (slight ring wear and a small crease on back), the inner original picture sleeves are EXCELLENT and the album itself is NM-M (NEAR MINT to MINT). Look at pics and the video for exact details on condition.


If it wasn't for the slight ring wear and that small crease on the back of the cover, this would be worth $700 - $900 per Discogs.


DEAD WAX DETAILS

BSK–2–3147 WW1 with the -< symbol confirms this copy is an original 1977 US first pressing. This specific variant was pressed at the Capital Records pressing plant in Winchester, Virginia. The first W indicates the audio was mastered for a Warner Brothers release, the second W stands for Winchester and the 1 indicates it was sourced from the very first master lacquer plate.  


COVER & LABEL DETAILS 

The lime green cover was produced in Barclay Records in France, who changed the yellow background to lime green. The cover was then an extra and was used for this promotional copy. Most promotional copies were played over and over so only a couple remain in this condition.


The white label with black text and the WB logo in color was rare. Most had palm trees but for the promotional copy, WB removed the palm trees but kept the color in their logo to indicate to DJs that this was a promotional and not-for-sale copy.
