And here, Ladies and Gentlemen, we proudly present the Iceberg that sank the Titanic called “70’s rock”. After this chunk of Rock tore through the hull of the self-indulgent progressive, sympho, arena and AOR rock of the 70’s, the 70’s retro-rock dropped to the bottom of the ocean and disappeared without a trace. Word has it that Leonardo di Caprio is considering making a movie about 70’s rock, titled: Pompo-Rock: Titanic II (just kidding).

Very few, if any, other rock albums have had an earth-shattering impact of this album. In the wake of this album, Rock would never be the same: the tissue of Rock & Roll was ripped in two: before Sex Pistols, and after Sex Pistols.

The WHITE LABEL PROMO, RADIO STATION-, AUDITION OR DEMONSTRATION COPIES AND RELEASES (such as the one we have here) were routinely distributed among the radio stations before the LP was released to the public, sometimes as much as 4 months ahead. These records are generally considered to be the "first among equals", which is to say the VERY FIRST generation and the VERY FIRST pressings of the particular title.

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL AS NEAR MINT. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)          The record comes in its original, custom, inner sleeve, which is UNIQUE to this album.

(c)           The record is apparently pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·       COVER

THE COVER IS NICE --- ABOUT VERY GOOD++ (VG++).

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-        Cover has some tiny, faint, barely visible writing on its back side (a few tiny check marks added next to 5 song titles)

-        Back cover has some light yellowish stains, probably from exposure to humidity (nothing significant)

-        Cover has a few tiny wrinkles along the seams

-        Cover has a visible "wrinkle"(crease) in one of the corners.

-         Cover has some light ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 2 (front side) and 3 (back side)

-         Minor shelf wear noted on the seams (nothing significant)

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No split seams

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)

-        No yellowing from aging

-        No stamps

-        No tearing: no chips, dents or nicks on the seams

-        No peel-off marks

-        No mold or mildew spots

-        No stickers or labels

-        No water damage

-        No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or cuts.

-        No warping

-        No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover

-        No bar codes

-        No RIAA stamps or stickers.
