SEX PISTOLS NEVER MIND AUS PURPLE WAX LP TEST RAREST
This is an original AUSTRALIAN LILAC / PURPLE VINYL WHITE LABEL TEST PRESSING issue of the SEX PISTOLS LP “Never Mind The Bollocks” 12 track version.The story goes like this, Virgin Records in this country released a number of coloured vinyl albums in the mid 1980’s.
They famously put out NMTB on RED, BLUE & GREEN vinyl for EXPORT ONLY!! This particular example is a WHITE LABEL TEST PRESSING of that LP release but for some reason it is on LILAC / PURPLE VINYL.
THE ALBUM WAS DEFINITELY NOT RELEASED ON THIS COLOUR AND WE ONLY KNOW OF TWO EXISTING COPIES.
It has the inclusion of an MX machine typed stamper number in the matrix on one side which clearly shows it to be of Australian manufacture.
It came from the collection of an ex music company employee.
TO SAY THAT THIS IS RARE IS A TOTAL UNDERSTATEMENT.
The other copy is safely tucked away in a private collection and going nowhere soon so bid to win.

Record – NEAR MINT but has a couple of storage scuffs on side 1.
