Over the coming months I'll be selling off my whole collection of punk 7". I've been collecting since 1976 and have amassed 1000's of rare punk/new wave from 1976 - 1982. These will include early UK punk/diy, loads of foreign pic sleeve rareties, demo's/promo's, and autographed items. They will all be in top condition and have been stored upright in protective sleeves. This has to be one of the rarest items in my collection. I have full history for this which I will tell you about further down but first the actual single - This is the mega rare original German Anarchy in the UK 7" with superb totally unique picture sleeve. This is one of the very 1st pressings which wrongly credits Chris Thomas on the b.side and as with the UK issue was quickly withdrawn. The difference being that this sold in far lesser quantities than the UK issue and obviously has the awesome picture sleeve - the UK issue had a boring plain black sleeve. The sleeve is based on the original press photo's that appeared in the morning papers after the legendary 'Bill Grundy show'. B.side is 'I wanna be me'. I purchased this from a shop on Kings Road back in 1981 for the princely sum of -- Well I'm not going to tell you how much I paid for it but it was peanuts to what this is worth today! It was signed at an NME Christmas party late December 1976 at Dingwalls, London. A few weeks later the Sex Pistols were sacked by EMI - the main reason for this was because EMI had a 50% share in Thames TV and so after the Bill Grundy show.....! Signed by the original Sex Pistols line up and also Malcolm Mclaren. It belonged to an employee of Dingwalls at the time who had purchased the record from an import shop on South Molton Street before obtaining the signatures. I had it verified back in the 80's but for more peace of mind why not get it verified yourself by an authentication agency before bidding, also check out my excellent feedback. This is a top Pistols item and will grace any collection. Extremely rare original 1976 signatures and a fantastic record to boot. Condition - Sleeve excellent(slight ringwear on back of sleeve), Disc - ex+. There is no reserve on this but please bid early to show your interest as this is advertised elsewhere so I reserve the right to withdraw from sale at any time.
