Up for auction is a Xian Soft Rock LP of "September" on Sugar Records # SRJ-871. This album is "Dreams & Lessons" and was released in 1987 on a small label out of St.Louis, Mo. The tracks on Side 1 is: 1. It Hurts Me 2. If You Believe 3. Over My Wing 4. Heaventime 5. Sean’s Song. On Side 2 is: 1. Animal Land 2. I Fool Me Again 3. Checkin’ My Six 4. Stand Up Follow Me.

RARE SEPTEMBER DREAMS & LESSONS AOR RUSS KIRKLAND BAND/MUSICIANS: SEPTEMBER TITLE: DREAMS & LESSONS ADDITIONAL INFO: "Not to be confused with a number of other bands of the same name, this lot have shared vocals, both male and female by Russ and Dale Kirkland. Obviously they are related, though to what degree remains a mystery. I believe these guys are a Christian band, and remind at times of Fighter circa their first album. But there are other earlier bands/artists like Pat Benetar, Marcy Levy and Spider that are nearer the mark, with Robert Tepper and Benny Mardones being points of reference for the male led songs. Great album running the gamut of aor styles, and non the worse for it. Quite hard vinyl albums to find. There are also two other albums available; "I've Been Thinking" from 1978, and "Dreams and Lessons" from 1987.The search goes on! Trivia freaks should also note that Russ Kirkland was the man responsible for the production of another Christian band, Arsenal for their "Armoured Choir" opus and an as yet unknown Sugar Records band, Xara. We've just turned up a copy of Septembers' " Dreams & Lessons" and this album is probably their best,with it being pure aor much in the same vein as another excellent Christian band, Illustrator.
