Description

This is an auction for a rare LP by, Second Hand, Reality.

This was released by Polydor Records in 1968 and has catalogue number 583045. This is stereo.  Please check the pictures for clarification.

Matrix: 583 045 A1     583 045 B1

Condition: Despite the sleeve looking quite well worn it is actually part of the sleeves design, some lamiantion creases can be seen with some light buffing to the very corners and edges. The top edge needs regluing, as pictured, and lastly there are a few very light and discreet dirt marks, most of which will certainly clean of the laminated surface. The spine text has been some what removed by the buffing and is not legible. No tears, bends or discolouring, the mouth edge is good with no fingering indentations, complete and graded at VG+

This does come with its original 'patent' inner which has some yellowing and creasing.

Both labels look clean and new, under closer examination a few spindle trails can be seen on each side. The centre hole does show just a touch of wear.  Please check the pictures, fine labels.

The vinyl retains its new shine and looks immaculate in normal light, Under closer examination (strong light) one tiny scratch can be seen on track three of side two and some feather scratches can also be seen. I have test played this through both sides and took the following notes.

Side 1- Plays just about perfectly. This plays with very little, if any, lessening in sound quality. Quiet breaks and entries, strong clear audio and not suffering from any reduction in quality due to wear. No distortion, fading or dragging and other than the very occasional, very quiet crackle (probably dust) this side sounds new.

Side 2- Two very quiet crackles heard in talking intro to this side, When reaching the tiny scratch, mentioned above, at the beginning of track three a very quiet tick can be heard. I counted three ticks, and played this back and counted three ticks again. These are very quiet and certainly do not distort the music in anyway. After this it went onto to play just about perfectly, like side one, possibly one or two very quiet, un-noteworthy crackles are just heard. This side plays with very little, if any, lessening in sound quality and like side one does not appear to suffer any reduction due to wear. Quiet breaks and entries and playing with no distortion, fading or dragging.

Graded at Near Mint, played a few times only, fine labels and vinyl, almost perfect audio.

A superb collectable.
