I'm unleashing a ton of VINTAGE VINYL METAL MAYHEM here on ebay over the next few weeks - so be sure to check my other listings and check back for new additions! :)

This listing is for a SEALED LP of SILVER MOUNTAIN - SHAKIN' BRAINS. This 1984 album was released by Enigma/Metal Blade Records. I believe this is US release - # E1067. Open copies have sold on ebay for up to $50 - this one is SEALED! :)

This album is SEALED - 30+ YEAR OLD VIRGIN VINYL, BABY! Being sealed, I presume the record is MINT!  The jacket also looks to be in excellent condition with the only a touch of wear at some of the corners and a couple small holes in the plastic wrapper. I'd consider the jacket to be NM, but please see pix to make your own assessment on the jacket condition.... I will provide pix of front, back and corners. If you are stickler on condition, PLEASE zoom and review the pix, I want you to be happy with your purchase! :)

Silver Mountain is a Swedish hard also bands. Formed in 1978 in Malmö. The band then consisted of Jonas Hansson , vocals / guitar, Morgan Alm , guitar, Ingemar Stenmark Quist , bass and Marten Hedener , drums.

Silver Mountains style was heavy, fast and melodic with classic influences. This was the beginning of the genre that today is referred neoclassical metal .

After the band in 1979 released a single on their own label, Man of No Present Existence / Axeman and the Virgin , split the original set. Many local musicians played at Silver Mountain. Among other things, drummer Mats Bergentz (Mister Kite, Syron Vanes ) who also wrote most of the lyrics on the debut album "Shakin 'Brains.

As early as 1982 got Silver Mountain recording contract with Dutch Roadrunner Records. The band then consisted of Jonas Hansson, Per Stadin , bass and brothers Jens Johansson , keyboards and Anders Johansson , drums. The following year released Shakin 'Brains .

The album Universe was released in 1984 . The set was then Jonas Hansson, guitar, Christer Mentzer , singing, Per Stadin, bass, Erik Bjorn Nielsen , keyboards and original member Marten Hedener, drums.

Thanks to Japan's major interest group they recorded a live album, Hibiya - Live in Japan '85 , 1985 . But again split the group, members were replaced and in came Johan Dahlström , singing and Kjell Gustavsson , drums. Not until 1988 came the next studio album out, Roses and Champagne , which is more leaning towards AOR -hållet.

1993 reunited Alcatrazz and Jonas was offered the job as a guitarist. Graham Bonnet was already bound to another project and instead formed Jonas Hansson Band. Three discs of JHB was made ??in the 90s ("No.1", "Second to none" and "The Rocks").

2001 decided the members from the album Shakin 'Brains temporarily reunited to record the album Breakin 'Shains . Silver Mountain is in the current situation a dormant projects but former members have indicated that it may necessitate more temporary reunions.

Jonas Hansson has also written film scores for Hollywood. Bla for trailers as "Hide and Seek", "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," "Legend of Zorro" and Others

Silver Mountains discs have been reissued on CD several times. Last license issuance came out in 2009 on Metal Mind Records. This publication is numbered editions in Digipak format
